Dementia Scale Score Classification Based on Daily Activities Using Multiple Sensors

Early detection of age-related disease symptoms in older people by the use daily activity data is one central challenges home sensor systems. This paper focuses on dementia scale classification from collected using sensors that can be deployed actual residential environments. Activity four (a door sensor, human motion location and sleep sensor) were obtained recording 56 adults living common residences. We analyzed effects different types data, such as time spent an individual room according to sensors, a facility, patterns, detection. then developed feature extraction method related patterns based clustering algorithm its effectiveness. In experimental evaluation, we trained binary models classify scores Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) these datasets. The results show maximum accuracy 0.871 was with linear support vector machine (SVM) model fusing door, location, features X-means algorithm.
